Good Things on Sunday Morning | 2

I was in a nature funk the last three or four weeks but it seems to be lifting. *phew* Most definitely a good thing!

Some good things from this week:

  • Notes from Prince Harry’s Ghostwriter: I read Spare (listened) a few months ago and really enjoyed it, though I didn’t particularly like the short chapter lengths. This was an interesting inside into life as a celebrity memoir ghostwriter. I know only a little about ghostwriting from a cousin who has ghostwritten romance novels in the last decade so it was interesting to see this perspective from a high profile ghostwriter. I can get the perspective of someone ghostwriting something such as this but really don’t get why ‘authors’ of things like romance novels would do this and then claim it for their own. Seems a bit silly.
  • The Perimenopause Diaries from Susannah Conway. I’ve really appreciate her writing on perimenopause over the last few years and as I sort out my own issues that may or may not be related to this, all I can think is feel glad more women are talking about it these days!
  • Remember how I wrote I was going down a Feist rabbit hole a few weeks ago with her 2000s work? Well, I have been listening to her 2011 album Metals on repeat for the last week and a half. It’s so good and I can’t believe I didn’t listen to it on repeat in the fall of 2011 when it was released!
  • A little more out there but I stumbled across this iNaturalist entry about a pawpaw over south of Bastrop and it is one of those interesting conversations you stumble upon on iNat that makes you favorite the entry just to stay on top of follow-ups in the future! Disjunct plant populations are very fascinating!

That’s it for this week! Let me know what good things you’ve liked this week!

Greetings, Misti. I’m glad your nature funk has lifted. This time of year is a good one to be outdoors.
